J. Kyle Davidson is the Chief Investment Officer at Davidson Capital Management. With a distinguished financial services career spanning more than 25 years, he oversees the firm’s portfolio management team, specializing in security selection, trading, and portfolio asset allocation construction.
Kyle joined the firm in 2005. Leveraging a deep analytical background and a comprehensive understanding of macroeconomic and monetary policy, he was appointed to his current leadership role in 2017 to execute Davidson’s investment management philosophy. His expertise in active management enables him to provide sophisticated oversight for highly complex portfolios.
Prior to joining Davidson Capital Management, Kyle held strategic roles at ADP Retirement Services and Alliance Capital Management. At ADP, he specialized in 401(k) plan design and led strategic partnerships with Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley financial advisors across an eleven-state territory. At Alliance Capital Management, he successfully spearheaded the national rollout of their 529 program to institutional clients throughout the United States.
Beyond his corporate leadership, Kyle dedicates his financial expertise to strengthening the San Antonio community. He serves as a Board Trustee and Executive Advisory Director for The Witte Museum Endowment Fund, and actively supports local organizations including The Tobin Center, The Will Smith Foundation, and The Assistance League of San Antonio. Outside the office, Kyle prioritizes health and wellness, regularly weight training alongside his wife, Kristina. A passionate classic car enthusiast, he also enjoys showcasing his 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle at automotive events throughout Central Texas. Kyle is a proud “Aggie Dad” to his oldest daughter, Kaitlin, a graduate of Texas A&M University, and supports his youngest daughter, Jillian, as she completes high school and prepares for college.
Kyle is a Series 65 licensed as a Registered Investment Advisor and a graduate of Southwest Texas State University now known as Texas State University.
