A No-Landing Scenario, Weak Market Fundamentals & Annuity Warnings
The Money Wise guys are back in the studio with another engaging and informative show that tackles current market trends and shares annuity warnings, too. They begin with a recap of last week’s market performance. The Dow was down 1.6%, the S&P 500 was down 2.4%, and the NASDAQ was down 3.2%. YTD the Dow is essentially flat, the S&P is up 10%, and the NASDAQ is up 24.1%. We’re seeing strange performance for the year, and we’ve just entered the fourth quarter of the game. The guys talk about the market cap weighted S&P 500, which shows some underlying fundamentals of the market aren’t as strong as the YTD S&P might lead us to believe. It all comes back to the Magnificent 7 tech stocks, so investors shouldn’t get too far out over their skis.
